So me and one of my friends at school went on a little excursion to the main campus of our school. Exciting stuff, especially considering I've only been there twice in the year and a bit I've been attending my school.
The campus in which I go to school is fairly small, kind of like a big high school, with roughly 3000 students. The main campus is HUGE with approximately 50 000. BIG difference. So needless to say, I was excited to experience the big university setting for a day.
We decided to check out the library, grab some books (because obviously they have a better selection than we would) and study there for a few hours before heading to a restaurant for dinner. Thing is, when we get to the library, there's no place for more than one student to study at! They have those desks with dividers so even if you want to study next to your friends and chat with them while doing research, you have to lean over this stupid wall beside you. It's like you're studying along anway. And on top of that, there are no outlets to plug your computer in so it doens't die after a few hours of studying/research! What's the deal?!
We ended up leaving the library with a few books, decided to go to lunch isntead of dinner at the restaurant and now we're on our way back to our own (better) campus.
In conclusion, this was a huge let-down for me. Not only was I expecting some big extravagant library worthy of Yale, (which was a bust), but they didn't even have outlets for the modern day student.
Thoroughly not impressed.
